I pursued a career in acupuncture and naturopathy two decades ago following some years in veterinary and human nursing, that which provided me with an invaluable understanding of anatomy and physiology; sickness and health; and the body’s incredible innate ability to maintain homoeostasis. Thus, my current health practice in traditional healing methods is well integrated with a modern health science framework.
I have applied my expertise in independent practice and in an integrative environment domestically and internationally and am inspired by the outcomes achieved in a multi-disciplinary setting. In my practice, I support the intrinsic process of restoring balance and harmony to the physical, mental and emotional aspects of the individual, where peace is obtained and healing can take place. The healing arts have provided me with practical tools to work with: acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping and massage; and therapeutics such as, herbal medicine and clinical nutrition.
I stay abreast of the latest research with a keen interest in learning and a commitment to professional development in all aspects of health traditions and health science. I work with any disharmony, ill-health or medical condition by assisting the individual in obtaining optimal health, some areas I have worked with more extensively are: pain management; auto-immune conditions; migraines; digestive disturbances; stress, anxiety, depression & sleep disturbances; and womens health including hormonal disorders, menopause, pregnancy, promoting natural fertility & IVF support.
